7. Community Connection & Cultural Outreach
Timnath is growing at a fast pace, and the decisions we make today shape our community for decades to come. I’m running for Town Council to help ensure that growth is thoughtful, transparent, and guided by resident engagement.
1. Community Engagement & Participation
Helping residents understand how and why participation matters, whether through public feedback, boards and commissions, or voting in local elections.
2. Engage First, Then Plan
Engaging residents and listening to their perspectives early, especially on issues that affect daily life, neighborhoods, and long-term growth.
3. Community Identity and Local Character
Investing thoughtfully and fostering community traditions, to shape an identity that feels authentic, connected, and distinctly Timnath.
4. Water Planning That Protects Residents, Not Just Plans For Growth
Ensuring that Timnath plans for water in a way that protects long term supply while protecting residents from unnecessary cost burdens.
5. Thoughtful & Inclusive Growth
Supporting development that is well planned, fiscally responsible, and aligned with Timnath’s character, infrastructure capacity, and long-term obligations.
6. Transparency With Purpose
Clear communication that explains not just how decisions are reached, but why they matter and how residents can engage.
Intentional | Responsible | Long-Term
Clear | Honest | Accessible
Neighbors | Inclusion | Connection
I believe Timnath’s identity should be rooted in community connection, local pride, and traditions that reflect the people who live here.
Timnath is still defining who it will become, and that is an opportunity. Our roots trace back to 1882, when Old Town was the heart of a small community built on connection and shared purpose.
As we grow, we must shape more than infrastructure. We must strengthen Old Town, foster community traditions, reach out to resident stakeholders and ensure growth reflects who we are, not just how fast we expand.
What will it take to restore Old Town as the core and beating heart of Timnath?
Growth is happening. The question is: are residents part of the process?
Timnath has changed a lot in a short time. New neighborhoods, new development, busier roads, and bigger decisions about infrastructure, water, and community spaces. While the town shares a great deal of information, many residents still feel unsure about why decisions are made, how to engage, or where their voices fit into the process. When growth moves faster than understanding, people feel left out, even when they care deeply about their town.
I’m running for Timnath Town Council because I’ve experienced this town’s growth firsthand — and I believe the next chapter should be shaped with deeper, more meaningful resident involvement.
I’ve lived in Timnath long enough to see it grow from a small community into a larger, more diverse town. I’ve watched neighborhoods take shape, businesses put down roots, and public institutions expand to meet growing needs. Through all of that change, one thing has stayed constant: community matters.
My approach to public service is grounded in listening, integrity, and fairness. I care deeply about how decisions are reached, how clearly they’re communicated, and how they affect the people who call Timnath home, especially those whose voices aren’t always the loudest.
Experience that supports responsible community-focused decisions
My professional background spans shy of thirty years in financing, governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, and real estate. While much of my work has involved complex legal, financing, and contractual decisions, the skills behind that work translate directly to municipal governance.
Town Council decisions often involve long-term legal and financial commitments, infrastructure investments, and balancing limited resources against growing needs. Understanding how those pieces fit together matters, not just today, but years down the road.
Just as important, much of my work has been community-facing. I’ve spent years helping people navigate complex information, listening to their concerns, and aligning solutions with real world needs. That perspective shapes how I approach public service.
What This Means for Timnath Right Now
Timnath’s rapid growth brings both opportunity and responsibility. Thoughtful leadership means asking important questions before decisions are finalized:
How will developments impact traffic, safety, and infrastructure?
Will Timnath have safe reliable water as our community continues to grow?
What would make the Town’s decision-making process clearer for residents?
Do residents know how impactful their participation and voices are on Council decisions?
Growth should strengthen Timnath, not strain it. That means planning carefully, listening early, and making sure community voices are part of the process.
Timnath is becoming more diverse, and effective local leadership should reflect that reality — not just in who serves, but in how residents are engaged.
I spent more than twenty years living and working overseas in culturally diverse environments, where collaboration across borders, backgrounds, and perspectives were part of everyday life. That experience shaped how I listen, communicate, and build understanding across differences.
My goal is simple: to help translate complex issues into clear, practical information so residents understand how decisions are made, why they matter, and how they can participate. Transparency works best when it leads to understanding, trust, and engagement.
Let’s Talk
This campaign is built on conversation and community not big spending.
